Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of the Passportify Shopify application and related public passport pages operated by ONLINE SHOP SYSTEMS SRL (“we”, “us”), Romania.
By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms on behalf of the merchant account you represent.
The service
Passportify provides tools to draft, publish, and display Digital Product Passport information for products in your Shopify store, including optional AI-assisted extraction/translation and an optional integrity seal (cryptographic hash of a version, with Merkle roots on a configured network when you enable the seal).
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of passport content you publish, including environmental claims, materials, supply-chain statements, and translations. Passportify does not guarantee regulatory approval under ESPR, EU consumer law, or any Member State requirement. Exact legal obligations depend on your product group and forthcoming delegated acts.
You must have rights to any documents uploaded for AI Auto-Fill and to any product data synced from Shopify. You must not use the app to publish unlawful, misleading, or infringing content.
Billing
Paid subscription plans and one-time add-ons are charged through Shopify’s Billing API (Manual Pricing). Fees, trials, and entitlements are described in the app’s Billing page and may change prospectively.
Declining or failing to approve a charge may limit features according to plan entitlements. Shopify’s billing and refund rules apply to charges processed by Shopify.
Integrity and blockchain features
Hashes, Merkle proofs, and on-chain anchors are optional transparency aids (Integrity seal). They do not replace your duty to keep disclosures truthful and up to date. You never need a crypto wallet; Passportify pays network fees when a seal is broadcast.
On-chain data may remain publicly visible after you uninstall the app and cannot be recalled from the network.
AI features
AI Auto-Fill and translation features produce suggestions only. You must review and approve content before publishing. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate or sufficient for legal compliance.
Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free availability. Public passport pages may be cached (for example via CDN) with short TTLs.
We may modify features, plans, or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from use of the app or reliance on passport content.
Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms is limited to the fees you paid to us via Shopify for Passportify in the three (3) months preceding the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under Romanian or EU mandatory law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or merchant protections that cannot be waived.
Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Romania, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
